Client-Side Processing

Your video files are never uploaded to our servers. Media Shrinker processes all video compression entirely in your browser using WebAssembly. When you select a file and click compress, the entire operation—reading the file, encoding, and creating the output—happens locally on your device. We do not receive, store, or have access to your video files at any time.

What We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit your video content. We do not require an account to use the compression tool. We do not log which files you process or any metadata about them.

What We May Collect

Our marketing site may use cookies and similar technologies for analytics and advertising (e.g., Google AdSense). This is standard for websites and does not involve your video files. The compression tool itself runs in an isolated environment and does not share data with these services during processing.

Third-Party Services

The Media Shrinker app loads FFmpeg WebAssembly components from our own servers (same origin) to enable compression. No third-party scripts run during the actual compression process. Our marketing pages may include third-party advertising; please refer to those providers' privacy policies for their practices.
